KATHARINA PLONER, DISTRIBUTION

Kathi is a social outdoor activist, fascinated by mountains and landscapes. She had a rather late start at snowboarding with 26, and still finds herself in the steep progression zone. Her quiver is designed to support that evolution and to help her improving her skills. Fine guitar player and food enjoyer, snowboarding also means for her enjoying the cultural aspects of international exchanges fostered on the mountain. Kathi is in charge of realizing the packaging for your boards, and sews by hand these cute little bags out of lin fabric, to protect your riding weapon during transport.

My board is designed to be polyvalent and to take me freeriding when powder comes. It is one board to do it all, from cruising on slopes to playful tree runs. Slightly wider and stiffer for more stability, the longer nose rocker helps digging that nose out of the snow, so that I don’t need to pull that much on my back leg. I love riding that board in spring conditions! It also works well in switch, because still up to date I’m not quite sure if I’m really a Goofy rider!

Natural colors are my favourite ones, so I tried to combine the green of the forest with the blue shades of the sky. In the upper triangle, this is a photo that I took myself during a hike, which reminds me of a nice memory in Stubaital, Tirol. I like the vintage effect of the photo transfer technique, combined with straight geometrical patterns.
