Hey Nicholas! I have prepared a sketch for your custom snowboard request, I look forward to hear your take on it! I went for a 157cm, not too short for enough floating surface but also not too long to preserve good manoeuverability. The shape is “progressive directional”, so that it works perfectly for carving on the slopes, while providing enough Nose float for powder and still working well while riding switch. The asymmetric shape goes as follows: the heel sidecut is cut a little deeper (smaller radius) and slightly shifted towards the tail, so that your heel-side turns engage more easily and pull you in the turn as good as on your toe side. The Tail is also slightly wider on the heel side, for these frontside powder slashes (like a shovel to spray big powder clouds). As for the shape of the tips, I went for a modern edgy shape that I quite like doing these days (this is more aesthetical, we can switch to more classical “rounded” shapes if you wanted to). I’d recommend a mellow positive camber between the feet for good pop, blended in a nose rocker (early-rise) for even better Nose float in deep snow / when landing cliffs or pillow jumps. This shape is meant to perform well on the slopes, while taking you progressively to backcountry riding in a playful and dynamic way. Let me know your thoughts on that! All the best, Ben.
